Great For Sensitive Skin

As a person who has severe eczema, I have found that towels made from processed and chemically-treated cotton continue to damage my skin.  Organic towels are somewhat of a godsend by virtue of the fact that my dry skin does not worsen because of it.  I highly recommend it for anyone whose skin breaks out easily.

If you are starting to get into the organic way of life, one of the things that you can buy is an organic cotton towel.  These towels are made entirely of organic cotton so you don’t have to worry if there are other materials used.  The towels also have 600 GSM so you know they are durable yet soft.

There are different colors and sizes available for your towels so you can really have a complete set in your bathroom.  And they can easily match your bathroom’s color theme.  Going organic is really the way to go now so we can help preserve our planet.  There are so many products out there that we can choose over other non-organic products.  And when other manufacturers see that people prefer organic, they will change their old production ways to shift to organic production.

The Amazing Bamboo Fiber

bamboobathtowels-bambooandorganiclinens.jpgThere are a wide array of bath linens available on the market today, but organic bath towels are rapidly becoming one of the favorite must-haves. Since bamboo is one of the most eco-friendly fibers, bamboo bath towels are growing in popularity especially now that a lot of people are going green.  Bamboo bath towels are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and static-free. The bamboo fibers naturally keep away any unpleasant odors and are not rough to the skin. They also only come in their natural, undyed color.

The structure of the bamboo’s fiber increases its absorbency and resistance to moisture related odors. This makes it ideal for use on children and adults with sensitive skin because it is non-abrasive and chemical-free.  Washing them is also not a problem because bamboo towels are machine washable; just chuck them in with the rest of your laundry and that’s that. Bamboo fiber is so soft it’s been often compared to cashmere. In addition, its natural anti-bacterial properties make it an ideal addition to bathrooms everywhere.

The skin is the largest organ of the body and most people don’t realize that what they use on their skin is absorbed into the body. The type of moisturizing lotion, laundry detergent and make up you use can all negatively impact your body assuming they’re not all-natural products. Next time you get out of the shower and dry off you should take a minute to think about the towel you’re using.

First of all, did you launder the towel using a grocery-store brand of detergent? Next, has the fabric of the towel been treated with chemicals? If your answer is yes, then you’re making a bad decision for your body. Next time launder your towels in perfume and dye-free detergent and dry off with a bamboo towel. This way you will be sure to keep your skin chemical free.

Towels Causing Skin Problems?

My husband has such sensitive skin on his face that he breaks out in to an itchy, bumpy, red rash every time he shaves. He has tried every thing from all-natural shaving lotions, to women’s moisturizing shavers, but nothing has worked to sooth his skin. I thought maybe he was allergic to the perfume in our laundry detergent, and I switched to a brand free of smells and dyes. But, even that didn’t work.

I was at my wits end, and my husband was miserable every time he shaved. And, he couldn’t stop shaving even if he wanted to. His job as a corporate accountant demanded a clean-shaven, conservative appearance. On a whim I bought some organic towels at the linen store. The next day my husband used one of the towels to dry his face after shaving and he had no reaction. The next day he used the same towel and his skin remained clear. I would have never guessed it was the towels we were using.
